Mind in Motion MiM
Mind in Motion (MiM) practice is a psychologically informed, embodied practice designed to support self-awareness, nervous system regulation, and sustainable health.
Each Mind in Motion MiM, session integrates:
clear psychological understanding of stress, regulation, and internal states
gentle, mindful mat-based movement to release tension and mobilise held energy
guided meditation to support integration, coherence, and restoration
Movement is not used for performance or fitness optimisation, but as a means of listening to the body and working intelligently with the nervous system. As the body softens and energy begins to move, insight becomes embodied rather than purely cognitive.
Mind in Motion is accessible, grounded, and suitable for a wide range of people and settings.
Why I created Mind in Motion MiM
Mind in Motion MiM, was created to address a recurring gap in both psychology and movement-based health spaces.
Many people understand what might help them, but not when or how to apply that understanding in real life. Equally, many movement and fitness environments work extensively with the body, yet without a shared psychological framework to support awareness, regulation, and self-understanding.
Mind in Motion brings these domains together.
It allows psychological insight to be experienced through the body, and movement to become a vehicle for awareness, regulation, and choice. In doing so, it supports people to engage with their health in a way that is preventative, educational, and sustainable.
Where Mind in Motion Is Delivered
Mind in Motion is designed to be delivered across a range of settings, including:
studios and movement spaces
gyms and fitness environments
community and wellbeing settings
educational and family contexts
The practice is adaptable while remaining grounded in shared principles of nervous system awareness, psychological literacy, and embodied self-understanding.
Becoming a Mind in Motion Practitioner
Mind in Motion is being developed as a practitioner-led model.
Pilates teachers, fitness instructors, movement practitioners, and wellbeing professionals are invited to train in Mind in Motion and deliver the practice within their own settings. Practitioner education focuses on psychological understanding, nervous system awareness, ethical boundaries, and role-appropriate delivery.
This does not turn practitioners into therapists.
It equips them with shared language, structure, and understanding, so that movement supports awareness, self-regulation, and health literacy.
Rolling out Mind in Motion globally has the potential to support intergenerational development and long-term health outcomes by embedding essential self-knowledge into everyday movement and community spaces.
